Here's our guide to what you can do in and around Bolton this weekend.
1. Enjoy some science while out shopping in Bolton. The eye-catching Osmosis Machine will be in the Market Place teaching young and old about the secrets of a mysterious substance known as gloop from 10.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
2. Enjoy a classical concert packed with the familiar and not so familiar byways of English musical repertoire. Bolton Symphony Orchestra will be at Victoria Hall, Knowsley Street, at 7.30pm on Saturday.
3. Enjoy the music of Paul Weller and The Jam in Breightmet on Saturday night. Tribute band Small Weller will be at Henighans Bottom Bull, Bury Road, from 9.30pm.
4. Fancy a most excellent night out? Go and see Bromley Cross singer Danny Jones and his McBusted bandmates at the Manchester Arena. The pop supergroup will perform their Most Excellent Adventure Tour on Saturday and Sunday evening.
5. Hang out with Darth Vader, Batman, Spiderman, Iron Man and Captain America on Sunday. Big screen and comic book stars will be at the Holiday Inn in Bolton for a sci-fi and comic book fair, from 11am to 5pm.
