SOME residents in Bolton have woken up to snow this morning — just a week after Spring arrived.
Several areas of the town including Bromley Cross and Chapeltown have had a smattering of the white stuff, with many expressing their shock at the weather, with April being just around the corner.
The snow is quickly being removed by rain, and with the temperature beginning to rise, it is unlikely that it will stay much longer.
Residents took to Twitter to speak of their surprise at the wintery weather.
Peter Smith said: "Gloriously sunny day in Scotland yesterday, and I got snow on my car this morning in Bolton? What's all that about!"
Keiron Wraith said: "As if there is snow in Bolton!"
Carole Souter said: "A little snow on the roof tops in Bolton this morning - but it's fading fast."
Stephanie Thompson said: "Am I really seeing snow in Bolton? It's MARCH!"
