Esther Rantzen is to ''marry'' television producer husband Desmond Wilcox in a religious ceremony in December.
The couple married 21 years ago in a civil ceremony at a register office, but now she wants to renew her vows in a synagogue.
She said on LBC's Radio Breakfast Programme that the shock of her 61-year-old husband's heart attack, in June, had persuaded her to ''become an honest woman in the eyes of God''.
Rantzen, 57, said: ''When Dessie had his heart attack it had quite an affect on all of us. I was rushing it the first time, but now I know he is the man for me.''
