COMPUTER whizz kids know to put safety first when they go online.
Kearsley West Primary School held an ICT/E-Safety Wow Week to ensure children can use the digital age to their advantage while ensuring they do not put themselves at risk.
Topics explored during the week included cyber-bullying and where to seek help.
The school holds a Wow week once a term with children's learning themed to the topic being explored.
Headteacher Lesley Cooper said: “We have a wide range of extra-curricular activities from cross-stitch to cooking and wrestling to street dance.
"It is important to us to put the fun back into learning and our E-Safety week has certainly done that.
“The school recognises the threat to our children from social media and is keen to make sure that all our pupils are aware of how to keep themselves safe whilst making the most of technological advances.”
Children showcased what they had learned to parents who came in at the end of the week for a celebration morning.
The next Wow week will look at different careers open to the bright young things.
