WELCOME to the future of international air travel. This sleek, almost space age booking office, which was the Glasgow HQ of the British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC), looked like it had beamed down from another planet when it opened in Buchanan Street in 1970.

Designed by architects Andy MacMillan & Isi Metzstein of Gillespie, Kidd and Coia, it was B-listed in 1988, possibly making it the youngest building ever to have been listed in Scotland.

Although BOAC is no more, the building is still at the cutting edge of fashion today, housing the designer clothes store All Saints.
