HOLLYWOOD star Sylvester Stallone has got a new "roll" — as a delivery driver for Warburtons.

The Rocky and Judge Dredd actor will be seen on screens from tonight playing the part of a baker and delivery driver who always goes that extra mile to earn his crust.

The action-packed TV ad premieres tonight, in a special one off slot, during the first ad break of Britain’s Got Talent on ITV.

Jonathan Warburton said: “We are the biggest baker in the UK to deliver fresh bread everyday. Our team of bakers and delivery drivers work around the clock, 362 days a year, to get fresh bread into the nation’s supermarkets all year round. It was amazing to see our real life everyday baking heroes, star alongside an action legend.”

“Sylvester was a natural behind the wheel of the Warburtons trucks, although we did need to remind him to get in the right-hand side of the cab. I’ve let him know that if he ever fancies a change of career there will be job delivering fresh bread waiting for him.”

The Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot star said: "I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Bolton and particularly loved spending time in the bakery. Maybe I should have stopped beating up bad guys a long time ago and gone into baking instead.”

The 68-year-old was spotted filming the advert in Bolton in January and recreated a famous scene from the iconic boxing film Rocky on the steps of Bolton Town Hall.

Stallone scaled the steps in a black military style beret and vest featuring the Warburtons logo for a television advert.

His surprise appearance was kept under wraps by bosses, but left bystanders in Victoria Square gobsmacked when they realised who the "camouflaged" star was.

Stallone was filmed leading a crowd of people running up the steps of the town hall, holding a loaf of bread in each hand for the advert.

He also filmed scenes at a Warbies bakery in Wakefield and can be seen in the advert sporting an 'I LOVE BLTN' T-shirt — a nod to the famous 'I LOVE NY' T-shirts.
