A WOMAN accused of murdering a father by administering him with heroin has denied all charges against her.

Lyndsay Jones was charged in January with the killing of Philip Makinson — two years after he was found dead from a drugs overdose at his flat in Halliwell.

At Manchester Crown Court, Jones pleaded not guilty to all six counts she faces at a hearing today (Wednesday, April 22).

Jones spoke only to enter her pleas and thank the judge at the end of the hearing.

Jones, previously of no fixed abode and currently being held in custody at HMP Styal, now faces a three-week trial, due to start on July 13.

Mr Makinson was discovered dead in Lindfield Drive in February 2013.

In addition to the charge of murdering the 59-year-old, Jones, aged 35, is accused of manslaughter, and two counts of supplying Mr Makinson with diamorphine — a medical form of heroin.

She also denies administering a noxious substance and administering a noxious substance so as to endanger life or inflict grievous bodily harm.

Mr Makinson, whose hobbies included cycling, was survived by ex-wife and friend Bethan, daughter Shelley and brother Graham.

His mother Annie Makinson died in December, 2012, aged 92, and his brother Warren died, aged 66, in July 2013.
