A NEW online forum allowing residents to tell health bosses how to improve their services is launched this week.

The website is part of Let’s Make It — an initiative from NHS Bolton Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).

Residents will be encouraged to visit www.letsmakeitbolton.co.uk to sign up.

Dr Wirin Bhatiani, chair of the CCG, said: “The idea behind Let’s Make It is to start a more informal and friendly conversation with Bolton people.

"The new website will be essential to making this happen. I encourage everyone to go online and get involved.”

“We really want to hear what people care about, what their experiences are of local services, and how things can be improved.

"We know people in Bolton are talking about the NHS, so we want them to talk to us.”

The new website will have the latest news on health services in the borough as well as a forum where people can get talking about the issues that matter to them.

People can sign up to receive regular updates.

The coming months will see roadshow events in different parts of the borough, radio advertising, and new Let’s Make It channels on social media.

A spokesman for the CCG added: "Let’s Make It will act as the umbrella brand for all campaigns, communications and engagement with patient, families and carers.

"The campaign will have its own Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest social media accounts and a series of characters have been designed to represent the people of Bolton, which have already been used in the recent A&E campaign."

The CCG says the new campaign will be "free of the usual NHS jargon" so it can be easily understood by everyone.

A Big Brother style "diary room" in a campervan was parked up in Victoria Square earlier this year as part of the initiative.

Residents were encouraged to jump on board and record videos sharing their opinions of Bolton’s healthcare.
