BEN Glendening led the way for Team Deane at last weekend's Horwich Triathlon.
He was the first of a healthy contingent of 32 athletes from the club to cross the line.
His 2hrs 6mins 42.1secs saw him finish 29th overall and was followed in by club-mates Ryan Greer (69th 2:17:53.75), Paul Geraghty (73rd 2:18:20.70) and Daniel Knight (75th 2:18:42.70).
First female finisher for Deane was Josie Maley whose 2:37:09.10 was good enough for 10th place in the ladies' race and 169th overall.
Liana Lonsdale was next lady for Deane in 2:45:47.30 followed by Clare Markland in 3:16:10.65.
Some of the highlights for the club were youngsters Paddy Brady's superb swim and Cameron Jones' determination to carry on in his first ever triathlon after his bike broke only minutes into the ride leg while Dean Brooks overcame five punctures.
