TWO burst pipes have left 40 homes in Bolton without water.
United Utilities are currently dealing with bursts in Winslow Road, Hunger Hill, and Ainsworth Lane, Tonge Moor.
The burst in Winslow Road has left about 40 homes without water, while the leak in Ainsworth Lane has not affected supply.
A United Utilities spokesman said: "We are dealing with two unrelated water issues in Bolton.
"Our engineers are fixing a burst on Winslow Road, which has interrupted supplies to around 40 customers.
"We hope to have supplies restored soon. Our apologies to those affected.
"We are also aware of a leak on a water main at Ainsworth Lane, and have scheduled a repair. Customers' supplies are not affected."
United Utilities engineers are expected to remain on site in Winslow Road for most of today.
Temporary traffic lights have been erected in Ainsworth Lane, and are expected to be in place for a few days, according to police.
