POLICE have charged a man in connection with a burglary in which two sets of priceless war medals were stolen.
Simon Davies, aged 42, of Portugal Street, The Haulgh, appeared at Blackburn Magistrates Court on May 15.
He is charged with burglary and fraud by false representation.
He did not enter a plea and his case has been sent for trial to Preston Crown Court, where he will appear on June 15.
The charges relate to a burglary in Crown Gardens, Edgworth, on Saturday, May 3, in which about £5,200 of goods were stolen.
Among the items taken were World War Two medals awarded to Leslie Ernest Collin.
