CATERERS experienced the sweet taste of success.
The University of Bolton has been named the top Fast Casual Dining in the U Dine Awards
The award was presented to the Catering Academy, an independent catering company operating the Bistro and Athena café at the university.
The U Dine Awards recognise universities that are embracing and delivering the highest quality food to their students.
Six universities were recognised in three different categories; bar concept, casual dining and fast casual dining.
Each of the shortlisted entries were visited by members of the Menu Innovation Network.
Darren Booth, head chef and assistant manager of Catering Academy at the university said: "We’re privileged to win such an award with so many good universities out there.
"We feel we’re delivering food to a very high standard, pleasing both staff and students.
"It is a very demanding job but we have an excellent team. The university is growing and the standard of food that we deliver needs to match that ambition."
