YOUNG daredevils showed they had all the right moves when they became the first to try out a new £30,000 mobile skate park.

They tried out their scooters, bikes and skateboards on the park which includes a half pipe, grinding rails and the different ramps when it was unveiled at Waggon Road Young Persons Centre by Mayor of Bolton Cllr Carole Swarbrick to cheers and applause.

The young people were joined by their families who enjoyed refreshments to mark the unveiling.

The cash has come from Bolton Council's capital budget for youth provision.

The mobile skatepark can be transported to most locations.

Children in Westhoughton will have a chance to try it out on Friday, when it is erected at Central Park at 11am.

The council's cabinet member for culture, youth and sport, Cllr John Byrne, said the new skate park was part of the borough's commitment to investing in facilities for young people.
