A YOUNG woman has been taken to hospital after falling onto a garage roof.
Police were called to a semi-detached house in Chapeltown Road, Bromley Cross, shortly before 9.30am this morning.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said the woman, who is in her early twenties, fell from a window or from the roof of the house.
A North West Ambulance Service spokesman said she was taken to Salford Royal Hospital because the fall could have resulted in a major trauma injury.
However, she had no visible life-threatening or serious injuries. Her current condition is unknown.
Firefighters were called by police to help rescue the woman, with a crew from Bolton north transferring her onto a stretcher on the roof before bringing her down on a ladder.
The Bolton News understands the woman may have been intoxicated at the time of the incident.
