POLICE are hunting a man who exposed himself to two dog walkers.

The two incidents in Halliwell and Smithills took place just 12 hours apart.

On both occasions the man walked up to the women and asked for the time before exposing himself.

Police have interviewed both victims and conducted door-to-door interviews in the area to come up with the e-fit.

The first incident happened at about 8pm on Monday, May 25, when a man walked up to a 50-year-old woman in Keighley Street, Halliwell, and exposed himself before walking off.

The second incident happened at about 8.30am the following day in Smithills Croft Road.

This time a 57-year-old woman was walking her dog and a man walked up to her, exposing himself.

It is thought the same man was seen at 9am on Friday, May 29, at the junction of Halliwell Road and Moss Bank Way, wearing a padded gilet, white T-shirt, blue jeans and earphones.

He is described as black, 5ft 10in tall, and in his late teens to early 20s.

He had afro-styled hair that was shaved at the sides.

Det Sgt Tammy Woodhouse said: “On both occasions, the man has approached his victims and asked them for the time before exposing himself.

“Thanks to the descriptions given, we have been able to create an e-fit.

"I would urge members of the public to take a good look at the image and if they believe they know or have seen this man in the area, to call us.

“Also, if you believe this man has approached you and you have not contacted police, I would ask you to as soon as possible.”
