The Cotton Works in Blackburn Road, Astley Bridge
A MAN threatened to jump from the sixth storey of a building in Bolton.
He was seen sitting on the outside ledge of the Cottonworks building in Blackburn Road, Astley Bridge, at about 8pm on Thursday.
A negotiator was called to the scene but a police officer managed to talk him down by 8.30pm.
It is unknown what the man’s motivation was.
He was unharmed but taken to Royal Bolton Hospital as a precautionary measure.
