BOLTON Council’s new chief executive introduced himself to members of the business community and said he wanted to work closely with them to help benefit the borough.
Paul Najsarek was guest speaker at the Bolton Professionals Curry Club at its quarterly networking meeting at Spice Valley, the Valley Leisure Park, off Waters Meeting Road, Bolton, on Wednesday.
Mr Najsarek, who took over four weeks ago, after former chief executive Sean Harriss’s departure, said that he had received a warm welcome from the people of Bolton and that he wanted to spend time listening to local business people.
The council’s director of development and regeneration, Keith Davies, brought the audience up to date with Bolton’s latest economic developments, included Logistics North, the housing plans for the former Horwich Loco Works site, the bus/rail interchange in the town centre and plans for Newport Street, the student village and the restaurants and cinema currently being built at the Market Place.
