IT is looking quiet on the roads so far this morning.

There is congestion in the usual places on the M60 – with traffic particularly slow anticlockwise between junction 16 for the A666 St Peter’s Way and junction 13 for the A572 at Worsley.

Anyone travelling into Greater Manchester should be mindful that Middleton Road in Crumpsall is still closed between the Blackley New Road junction and the Sheepfoot Lane junction due to emergency repairs.

There is a diversion in place via Meade Hill Road and Sheepfoot Lane, which is causing delays.

There is also currently traffic building on Albion Way in Salford between the A6 Crescent junction and the M602.

Don’t forget, there are 40mph roadworks in place on St Peter’s Way although these don’t seem to be causing any issues.

Train commuters will probably be aware that engineering works mean there are no trains stopping at Farnworth, Kearsley, Clifton and Moses Gate.

Buses are running between Bolton and Salford Crescent Mondays to Fridays until October 4.
