A LORRY being driven through Bolton town centre crashed into a bridge.
The articulated vehicle got stuck when the Polish driver attempted to make it under the bridge above Bark Street at about 7am today.
The road has been closed while the Dutch vehicle, carrying flooring and travelling to Anthony Axford Timber Merchants in Bark Street , is made safe and recovered.
It is thought the collision happened because the driver, who had travelled from Germany, uses metric measurements and did not recognise the imperial sign.
