A BOLTON School pupil has followed in the footsteps of Lionel Messi after scoring a wonder goal at the home of Barcelona FC.
Corbyn Murray, aged seven, of Whitefield, was playing for Bury-based Woodbank Junior Football Club in a summer tournament at the Nou Camp when he scored a fantastic free kick in the final to make it 4-0.
The moment, from the tournament on June 27, was captured on video and has been played 15,000 times on youTube in recent days.
Corbyn’s proud dad Scott said: “I hope Corbyn makes some people smile one day, with his footballing skills.
“He currently trains at Liverpool, Manchester United, Everton, Manchester City, Blackburn and Bury.
“My dad is from Liverpool and Corbyn loves Liverpool FC, especially Steven Gerrard and he also loves Luis Suarez, who now plays for Barcelona.”
