TAKE a second look – yes that is Father Christmas and yes, it is July.
Shoppers, children and even some staff members were stunned to see the distinctive red and white clothes of old Saint Nick in Asda in Radcliffe on Friday.
Christmas seems to get earlier and earlier each year but this time it may have gone too far for many who are still waiting for summer to begin thanks to unpredictable weather.
Sadly no presents were being given out by the jolly bearded man – it was a visit to promote the store's Christmas savings card.
Shopper Tracey Snelling, aged 53, took some photos and shared them on Twitter, which have since gone viral.
The mum-of-two said: “I couldn’t believe it when I walked into the store and saw him standing there. It was the last thing I expected to see.
“Apparently it was something to do with Asda promoting a saving card for Christmas, but I think it caused quite a bit of confusion with some of the children wondering what was going on.”
