IT may have been raining cats and dogs outside but with a little help from two special mice, Connor and Lexi-Louise Reynolds stayed warm and dry.

Connor, aged four, and six-year-old sister Lexi-Louise proudly flaunted their matching Minnie and Mickey Mouse umbrellas in Old Railway Park in Horwich today.

After a wet weekend, rain continued to batter Bolton and there are showers predicted for tomorrow.

By the afternoon, things are expected to brighten up with the rain easing off into lighter drizzle and some late sunshine possible - with a top temperature of 18C.

The Met Office predicts there will be light showers on Wednesday before a drier, sunnier Thursday and another day of heavy rain on Friday.
