I WISH to thank a young man and woman through your column for helping me to push my car clear of a junction on Tuesday evening July 14.
When pulling on to Bradford Road the engine cut out and would not start.
The young man especially for letting me use his phone and staying with me until the recovery vehicle came and and got me mobile. A simple job, tightened up the terminals on the new battery fitted that afternoon. He was a very pleasant young man and we talked about holidays while we waited. He said he worked for the Bolton News. I forgot to ask this modern day Good Samaritan his name.
A very grateful 80-year-old grandma.
