A 25-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested on suspicion of arson following a fire which destroyed a flat in Bolton.
The man was arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life, and has is in custody for questioning.
Firefighters were called to the flat in Dingle Walk at about 3.30am on Wednesday morning, where they found the front room of the flat well ablaze.
Nobody was in the flat at the time, and no-one was hurt.
Officers from the police and fire service spent much of Wednesday investigating at the scene, and the flat remained cordoned off.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: "At about 3.30am on Wednesday 29 July 2015 police were called to Dingle Walk, Bolton to a report of a fire at a house.
"Fire services were called to extinguish the blaze and there were no injuries.
"A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life and has been remanded into custody for questioning."
