A SCHOOLBOY led non-league club AFC Fylde to a draw against Bolton Wanderers' development squad.

Daniel Fryer, aged 11, took the reins from regular manager Dave Challinor for one night only and steered his team to a 1-1 draw.

The match was a tale of two penalties, as the Whites took the lead from the spot after 55 minutes, with George Newell scoring from the spot and Dion Charles equalising for the Vanarama National League North club in the 80th minute.

Daniel gave a team talk, held a press conference and made substitutions during the match.

He was given the opportunity after a fellow fan won a competition to manage the team, but passed on the honour to Daniel after he could not attend.
