FIREFIGHTERS had to rescue a man from a flat near Bolton town centre after a pan of food caught fire.
A crew from Bolton Central were called to Jubilee House in Moor Lane at about 9.30pm on Sunday.
The flat had become heavily smoke-logged and a man was given oxygen after suffering mild smoke inhalation.
He was taken to hospital as a precaution.
The flat was not damaged and nobody was seriously injured.
