UTC Bolton will have laboratories specific to certain fields within the clinical health sciences and engineering sectors.
The laboratories include electronics and telematics, energy and fluids, robotics, pharmacy and medicine, ergonomics, dentistry and assisted health technologies such as orthopaedics and prosthetics.
Within these laboratories there will be advanced tools including robots, endoscopes, telescopes, dental phantom heads, engineering design and build kits, pharmacy and medical equipment and a Nursing Anne patient simulator - products used as part of professional practice in industry.
These are in addition to the University facilities available to UTC Bolton students.
The use of specialist equipment supports UTC Bolton’s aim to combine classroom teaching with applied learning and project work in partnership with universities and national employers, giving students a competitive edge.
