THE red carpet was rolled out in Bolton to give tiny stars a taste of Hollywood glamour on Thursday.

Youngsters at the Schools Out club — based at Walmsley Unitarian Church — followed in the footsteps of their favourite stars for a Hollywood Red Carpet day.

Dresses were donned and best poses were perfected as they walked the carpet before attending a party lunch.

It may have been their first time in the spotlight — but the stars have already perfected the art of outshining their famous celebrity counterparts.

Seven-year-old Sophie McGrath looked pretty in a purple gown and was joined by Demi Askew, aged six, and Helena Leech, aged 5.

Billy Bain, aged seven, pulled a cheeky pose for his time in front of the camera.

After their moment in front of the photographers' flashbulbs, the mini celebs enjoyed a lunch complete with glasses of 'bubbly' — though in this case the Champagne was swapped for lemonade.

The celebrations were part of the Schools Out club's spotlight week which has also included a Britain's Got Talent inspired competition, dancing and a visit to the movies.

Club manager Kim McClelland said: "The children were all really excited about it and thrilled to bits to be part of it.

"We had costumes for them to dress up in and some of the children chose their own outfits. There was Bollywood and vintage dresses.

"They all felt like film stars. They loved it, we had such a good laugh and it was such good fun."
