PREPARATIONS are underway for this weekend's food and drink spectacular.
The famous festival returns to Bolton for a 10th year and will feature a host of celebrity chefs as well as a wide range of food and drink stalls which will pitch up around the town centre.
Workers were busy setting up safety barriers and stages yesterday as well as putting together the main marquee on Victoria Square where the likes of James Martin, John Torode and Michael Caines will all perform cookery demonstrations.
The four-day foodie spectacular, organised by Bolton Council in association with Aldi, will take place from Friday, August 28 to Monday, August 31.
Leader of Bolton Council, Councillor Cliff Morris, said: “The festival is eagerly awaited every year and once again we’ve organised a fantastic event to celebrate its 10th birthday. We are going all out to make this a birthday party to remember and everyone’s invited. Like any good birthday party there’ll be plenty of good food, lots of fun entertainment and an opportunity to catch up with some familiar and friendly faces."
