Man admits assaulting woman

A GREAT Lever man has been ordered to carry out unpaid work after admitting assaulting a woman.

Mohammed Saqib, aged 26, of Woodvale Avenue, must carry out 200 hours of unpaid work after admitting the offence.

He must also pay a victim surcharge of £60, costs of £350 and a criminal courts charge of £150 following a hearing at Bolton Magistrates Court.

Window damage man fined

A BREIGHTMET man was fined after smashing windows belonging to Bolton at Home.

Lee Murphy, aged 34, of Stockdale Grove, was fined £250 and ordered to pay costs of £200, a victim surcharge of £25, costs of £85 and a criminal courts charge of £150 by Bolton magistrates.

Man must carry out unpaid work

A HORWICH man must carry out unpaid work after admitting assaulting a woman.

Nigel McGrath, aged 47, of Sycamore Walk, was sentenced to a community order and must complete 150 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months.

He was also ordered to pay compensation of £50, a victim surcharge of £60, costs of £85 and a criminal courts charge of £150 by Bolton magistrates.

Man stole wheel clamp

A DEANE man stole a wheel clamp from the DVLA.

James Bentley, of Deane Church Lane, admitted the May 17 theft at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court on August 24.

The 34-year-old was ordered to pay compensation of £20 and other costs of £345.

Driver given £300 fine

A HALLIWELL man has been fined after driving without due care and attention and failing to stop after an accident.

Michael Crabtree, aged 31, of Huxley Street, admitted the offence which happened in Cameron Street, Sharples on May 7.

He was fined £300 and was given eight points on his licence, and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £30 and a criminal courts charge of £150.

Man must leave woman alone

A MAN who harassed a woman by calling her and arriving at her house has been sentenced to a community order.

Andrew Emmison, aged 23, of Duke Street, Bolton, admitted the offence and was ordered to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months.

A restraining order was also imposed by Bolton magistrates, and he must pay a victim surcharge of £60, costs of £85 and a criminal courts charge of £150.

Assault man avoids prison

A BREIGHTMET man has been given a suspended prison sentence after assaulting a woman and breaching a restraining order.

Daniel O'Neill, aged 32, of Crossdale Road, was sentenced to 20 weeks in prison suspended for 18 months after admitting the offences.

Bolton magistrates also ordered him to pay compensation of £80, costs of £85 and a criminal courts charge of £180.
