EGERTON remain five points clear at the top after a convincing away win against Horwich.

Daniel Partington scored 67 not out as his side were restricted to 150-9 thanks to neat bowling from Babar Naeem (3-64) and Rakeeb Mahmood (4-69).

The Horwich batting attack collapsed under the brilliant bowling of Will Halton (4-18), Adam Street (3-12) and Amal Dalugoda (3-17) and were bowled out for 58.

Westhoughton remain five points behind the leaders following a comfortable home win against Walkden.

Rob Brown top-scored with 51 as the Howfeners posted a total of 177-9. Ryan Ayres (6-76) bowled majority of the wickets.

Professional Qaisar Abbas (6-14) and Oliver Newby (4-21) bowled the visitors out for 66 to secure the win.

Dave Mather inspired Farnworth Social Circle to an easy 10-wicket victory against title rivals Greenmount.

Mather's seven-wicket haul for 30 dismissed the hosts for 88 – which was seen of brilliantly by the opening pair of David Tonge (64*) and Matt Parkinson (24*).

Meanwhile, Zain Abbas batted his way into the Little Lever record book on Sunday as he took his run tally up to 1350 with a century against Bradshaw.

The professional, who was playing his last game of the season before returning home, broke Geoff Marsh's long-standing record of 1334 runs in a single season.

Abbas' century aided in Little Lever posting 173 after the first innings. Steve Foster impressed with the ball bowling 6-85.

But Bradshaw went about spoiling Abbas' record-breaking day by seeing off the target with two wickets to spare – Anthony Jones (37) and Kamran Younis (30) were the top-scorers.

Adil Nisar struck a century for Farnworth as they overcame a resilient Heaton side.

Kamran Sajid scored 99 not out, which along with Nisar's 123 helped Farnworth to a healthy total of 278-2.

Matt Fray (42) and Oliver Sutcliffe (49) put on a 108-run opening stand in reply but with little support thereafter Heaton were bowled out for 203 – Nisar (5-45) and Sajid (3-48) did the damage with the ball.

Kearsley's poor form continued as they slipped to a home defeat to Eagley.

Awais Zia was caught on the boundary on 99 and Mike Ward was out for 61 as the visitors set a target of 229. Mohammed Jameel (5-70) and Saeed Anwar Jnr (4-82) were the notable bowlers.

And the Springfield Road side ran it close in reply, Charlie Dorsey striking 46 and Anwar Jnr hitting 27 but they eventually collapsed for 206 due to the impressive bowling of Will Shuttleworth (6-63) and Zia (4-90).

Astley Bridge recorded a routine win away to Tonge.

Syd De Silva knocked 135 and Yasir Rashid added 48 to post a mammoth score of 292-8. Mansoor Ahmed was the only bowler of note taking 4-127.

And true to form Tonge struggled with the bat – Ibrahim Kaduji the only batter of note hitting 44 as they were bowled out for 89. Rashid did the most damage with the ball posting figures of 6-20.
