TWO people were taken to hospital after a crash on the A666 in Bolton.
A woman in her 30s and a man in his 60s complained of back and abdominal pain following the collision on the southbound St Peter's Way close to the turn off for Raikes Lane.
Both patients were taken to Royal Bolton Hospital as a result of the accident at 11am yesterday.
Traffic police were forced to close off the inside lane, causing delays and tailbacks.
It is not known if the two were drivers or passengers or if they were in the same car.
A North West Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "Both patients were placed on spinal boards but as a precaution.
"There were no apparent major injuries."
