Power cut affects thousands of Bolton homes
A HUGE power cut left thousands of homes in Bolton in the dark yesterday evening.
Electricity North West (ENW) says an underground cable fault caused the loss of power at 7.30pm.
The cut affected 1,649 customers in the Tonge Moor Road, Hillfield Drive, and Britannia Way area.
Within three minutes the power was restored automatically to 1,277 customers, with the remaining 372 customers getting power back at 8.13pm.
