Commuters delayed by crashes in both carriageways of M61 near Middlebrook
COMMUTERS are being delayed by separate crashes in both carriageways of the M61 near Middlebrook.
A crash on the southbound carriageway between Chorley and Middlebrook caused the motorway to be closed.
There has also been a collision on the northbound carriageway but the scene has now been cleared and traffic is moving again.
Police were called to the scene at 7.40am after three vehicles collided on the southbound carriageway before the bumper of one car flew into the northbound carriageway, blocking both lanes.
