Inappropriate touching

A PENSIONER has been fined for inappropriately touching a woman.

William Shaw, aged 70, of Balmoral Close, Horwich, admitted one count of intentionally touching a woman aged 16 or over in a sexual manner following the incident on June 25.

He was sentenced to a community order and fined £75.

Shaw was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £60, compensation of £50, costs of £85 and a criminal courts charge of £180 by Bolton magistrates.

Aftershave theft

A PROLIFIC shoplifter has been given a suspended prison sentence after stealing two bottles of aftershave.

Hakim Smith, aged 34, of Woodhouse Park, Wythenshawe, admitted stealing the aftershave valued at £68 in total from Debenhams in Bolton, an breached a previous court order.

He was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison suspended for 12 months, and must carry out 120 hours of unpaid work within the next year.

Smith was also ordered to pay costs of £250 and a victim surcharge of £80.

Perfume theft

A SHOPLIFTER was fined after stealing a bottle of perfume Monica Smith, aged 53, of Southbank Road, Burnage, admitted stealing the perfume valued at £68 from Debenhams in Bolton.

She was fined £50 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £60 and costs of £150.

Bad driving

A PENSIONER has been fined for driving in Crompton Way without due care and attention.

Tripti Halder, aged 75, of Barnard Avenue, Whitefield, admitted the offence which happened on July 4, and was fined £50.

She was also given three points on her licence and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20, costs of £85 and a criminal courts charge of £150 by Bolton magistrates.
