TWENTY homes in Breightmet have been hit by a power cut this evening, after an underground cable fault.
Residents in Brodick Drive, in the BL2 6UF postcode, have reported the power being off since around 4.40pm.
Power is expected to be restored to all the affected properties by 10pm.
An Electricity North West spokesman said: "There are 20 homes affected by the loss of power, which has been caused by an underground cable fault.
"The estimated time to have it restored is 10pm at the latest, though we are hoping to have power back to most of the homes by 8pm."
