A HALLOWEEN charity quiz night held at Astley Bridge Conservative Club on Friday night, raised more than £2,700 and was attended by nearly 200 people.

Bolton Wanderers legends John McGinlay and Tony Kelly were also in attendance to help read the quiz, draw the raffle and judge the fancy dress costumes.

Organised by Paul Berry, Lucy Leeming and Sally Scarbrough, the money raised would be split equally between Make-A-Wish Children’s Charity and Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Mr Berry said: "It was a fantastic night which everyone really enjoyed. Our thanks go to everyone that attended, all that bought raffle tickets and in particular to John and Tony who were absolutely superb."
