Deane motorist banned for 12 months after driving without due care and attention

A DRIVER has been disqualified from driving for a year after a trio of motoring offences. 

Mateusz Pielak, of High View Street, Deane, was behind the wheel of a 2001-reg Vauxhall Astra in Houghton Street, Great Lever, on June 12, that was seen to be driven erratically.

He admitted driving without due care and attention, having no insurance and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence at Bolton Magistrates’ Court and was fined £175.

He was ordered to pay compensation of £300, a victim surcharge of £20, court costs of £85 and a criminal courts charge of £150. Pielak was disqualified from driving for a year.

Attack woman fined

A WOMAN who assaulted another woman has been fined £100 by a court.

Haleema Idrees, aged 22, of Walker Avenue, Bolton, had denied attacking her victim on June 12 but was convicted following a trial.

As well as the fine, she was ordered to pay £1,000 in costs and charges.

Driver given curfew over breath sample failure

BOLTON magistrates have sentenced a driver to a 12 week curfew after he pleaded guilty to failing to produce a breath sample for police.

Simon Shaw, aged 30, of Temple Road, Smithills, pleaded guilty to committing the offence on October 18.

He was banned from holding a driving licence for 30 months and must remain at home from 8pm to 4am for the duration of the curfew.

The court also ordered him to pay £195 in costs and charges.

Driving ban for motorist

A 12-MONTH driving ban has been handed to a motorist who was caught drink driving.

At Bolton Magistrates’ Court 47-year-old Jan Baco, aged 47, of Red Lane, Bolton, pleaded guilty to being over the alcohol limit while driving a Vauxhall Zafira on Crompton Way, Bolton, on November 1.

As well as the driving ban Baco was fined £250 and ordered to pay £260 in costs and charges.

Drink-driver is disqualified

DRINK driving landed a Radcliffe man with a road ban.

Liam Riley, aged 23, of Outwood Road, drove a Honda Civic in Rupert Street, Radcliffe, on February 11, while over the legal alcohol limit.

He admitted the offence to Bury magistrates last Friday and was banned for 14 months and ordered to pay £961 in fines and court costs.

Man banned from driving

A DRINK-driver has been banned from getting behind the wheel for 26 months.

Daniel McBride, aged 31, of Moss Shaw Way, Radcliffe, drove an Audi A5 in Wellbank Street, Tottington, on September 26 while over the legal alcohol limit.

He admitted the offence to Bury magistrates last Friday and was also fined £950 and ordered to pay £320 court costs.
