Parents have been asked to keep watch on their kids after a Bolton fire crew was called out three times to Rumworth Park.
Youngsters are believed to have been causing problems in the park yesterday evening, setting off small fires in the area and making pest calls to the fire service.
A crew from Bolton Central attended a small fire at Rumworth Park, in Willows Lane, just before 7pm last night.
They were then called out two more times to the area but there were no fires found.
Crew manager Mark McCourt said the control room had received a number of similar calls for the area from callers with ‘young’ voices but only sent the crew out if there was a fire.
He said the crew believe youngsters were purposely trying to get the crews out to the park.
He added: “We would ask parents to keep an eye on their children and make sure they know what they are doing.
“While an engine is tied up with pest calls like that, it’s not available for an emergency.”
