AN 18-YEAR-OLD has admitted being part of a group of Bolton teenagers who broke into two town centre venues on the same night.

Kyle Keane, of Chisledon close, Great Lever, was the eldest of the burglars who struck in Nelson Square in central Bolton.

His guilty pleas mean all four members of the yob gang have now admitted their role in the crimes.

The offences were part of a string of break-ins in the town centre during October and November.

Local neighbourhood officers laid on additional patrols and poured through CCTV in a bid to target those responsible.

Magistrates previously heard Kyle and the rest of the thieves tried unsuccessfully force their way into the rear of the Spinning Mule pub, a branch of the JD Wetherspoon chain, on October 20.

They smashing several panes in a skylight and tried and failed to prise open a fire exit door.

The gang then moved round the corner to The Bar where they broke a window, climbed inside — setting off an alarm — and later returned to steal six bottles of vodka worth £90.

Security cameras captured all of the trouble-making and officers swiftly rounded up the culprits.

Keane admitted burgling The Bar, attempting to burgle the Spinning Mule and skipping bail when he appeared at Bolton Magistrates' Court on Wednesday. (Nov 25)

He was given unconditional bail to return to the same court for sentencing on December 9.

Two of his accomplices were sentenced on Wednesday at Bolton Youth Court.

The Bolton boys, who are aged 16 and 17 and cannot be named for legal reasons, received youth rehabilitation orders with three-month electronically-monitored curfews.

Both were warned they could end up in prison in the future if their do not change their ways.

The last of the gang, who is 16, was due to be sentenced alongside the two other juveniles but had his case adjourned until December 2.
