A CHRISTMAS tree festival brought festive cheer to Bromley Cross.
The annual event at Bromley Cross Village Hall showcased 31 colourful trees, which had been decorated by residents and businesses.
A competition was also held to find the most popular trees, with the tree by St John Primary in Bromley Cross winning the public vote, and the effort by Sharples Primary School earning the judges' vote.
Gill Clarke, one of the organisers of the festival which ran on Friday and Saturday, said: "It is a great community event, it brings people together and it just seems to get bigger and better every year.
"Last year we had 500 people through the doors and it has been similar this year, if not more.
"I met a man at the festival who I had not seen for a while and he said he would donate a Christmas tree next year. It is great to connect with people, some who you only see once a year."
Visitors also got into the Christmas spirit as they enjoyed carols from Eagley Junior School Choir and the Bromley Cross Community Choir.
There was also a craft fair, featuring a range of festive goodies and refreshments.
