A THIRD arrest has been made over the death of a man in Farnworth.
Mark Carroll, aged 43, died on Saturday November 21 at Royal Bolton Hospital.
He died shortly after he was discovered barely conscious in Burnham Walk at 2am by police officers called to reports of a disturbance.
Officers investigating the incident are treating Mr Carroll's death as manslaughter.
A 19-year-old man became the third suspect in the case when he was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of manslaughter.
He was bailed until January 18 next year pending further enquiries - just like the 18-year-old man arrested on suspicion of manslaughter on the day of the incident and the 28-year-old man arrested on suspicion of manslaughter on Tuesday last week.
A Home Office post-mortem examination has taken place but could not determine a cause of death and further tests are being conducted.
Anyone with information should phone police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
