TWO teenagers have been charged with committing four break-ins in the town centre on the same evening.

The 16-year-olds are accused of carrying out the string of offences in the centre of Bolton overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday last week, November 24 and 25.

They are alleged to have stolen a charity box with £30 in it from Poundstretcher in Knowsley Street and toys worth £500 from Toy and Gift Co in Market Street.

The pair are accused of stealing a till and its £50 contents from Faye Barbers in Corporation Street and of entering Barnado's in Oxford Street as a trespasser with intent to steal.

Both 16-year-olds face four counts of burglary and appeared at Bolton Magistrates' Court on Thursday, November 26.

One of the boys was denied bail and was remanded into local authority accommodation on conditional bail including a 7pm to 7am curfew, a ban on contacting his co-defendant and cooperation with the Youth Offending Team.

The second teenager was given conditional bail with conditions such as a 7pm to 7am curfew, a ban on entering Bolton borough and a ban on contacting his co-defendant.

Their cases were adjourned until December 2 back at the same court.
