YOUNGSTERS at a Little Lever primary school are learning to live healthy lives thanks to a weekly cooking club.
Children of all ages from Bowness Primary School have been participating in cooking classes aimed at informing them how to prepare tasty, healthy dishes.
They follow recipes from cookery books and create a range of tasty treats including vegetable fajitas, noodles and sweetcorn.
The classes, which are for 10 pupils every week, have proved very popular and there is now a waiting list to take part.
Sarah Ellis, a pastoral care worker at the school who runs the classes, said: "We look at different vegetables and different ways of preparing food which they can also take home and do with their family.
"It has been going really well, the children have enjoyed it."
