LOVE is in the air — but not for long — as a craft group makes edible Valentine’s Day cards.

The quirky cards, which were made by members of the All Souls Community Centre craft group, were inspired by artist Mary Rudkin.

The cards are made from food colouring and rice paper.

Amy Llewellyn, community and heritage officer at All Souls, said: “We try and do crafting events with a theme for special events.

"Artist Mary Rudkin hosts the sessions and they are for local people who are at a bit of a loose end in the day.

“The edible cards were quite a quirky idea and we like to do something a bit different.”

The group of 10 meet on Tuesday and Thursday from 10am until noon.

Miss Llewellyn added: “Anyone is welcome to join.

“We just ask that they give us a ring beforehand so that we can get enough materials in.

“Everyone seems to enjoy it and it’s an opportunity to make friends as well.”

All Souls will be holding a children’s puppet making class next Wednesday from 10am until noon.
