EMERGENCY services were called to two road smashes this afternoon.
The first happened on Moss Bank Way at 1.30pm when a car and a motorbike involved in a crash.
Emergency services were mobilised but no one required hospital treatment.
And just after 3pm police and ambulance were called to two car crash in Albert Road West at the junction with New Hall Road, Heaton.
The smash involving a Ford Focus and a BMW happened at around 3.15pm.
A female, aged 27, suffered injuries, the nature of which is not known at this time, and an ambulance was mobilised.
The roads were closed while emergency services dealt with the incident.
