BOLTON singer Laura White has joined Lady Gaga, Demi Lovato, Lena Dunham and Taylor Swift in offering her support to singer Kesha.

TiK ToK singer Kesha is currently involved in a lawsuit against her mentor Dr Luke.

On Friday, she was pictured in tears in court when she was denied a preliminary injunction which would allow her to record music outside of her contract with Dr Luke's label Kemosabe Records, which is owned by Sony.

She has accused him of emotional and sexual abuse going back a decade, which he strenuously denies.

Singer/ songwriter Laura, who went to the University of Bolton and is from Atherton, posted on Facebook: "Kesha has sold millions of records, has played arenas, is massively known worldwide and her tears show us clearly — regardless of all of her success — just how scared she still is, proving how much a label can make/break the career of an artist."

Singer Adele used the acceptance speech for her first win of the night at last night's Brit Awards to say: "I'd also like to take this moment to publicly support Kesha."
