A BOLTON based construction firm has bolstered its team with two new appointments following a record year of growth.

Chris Taylor and Georgia Ashmore have joined Artez, based in Lynstock Way, Lostock, as site manager and administration assistant.

Chris will manage a development site at The Tannery, a new-build block of apartments in the up-and-coming Goose Green area of Altrincham.

Georgia, who is based at the company’s new head office in Bolton, has been recruited to support the administrative team as the business continues to grow.

They join the latest recruits, Antony Leach, director of Artez Living and Steve Knight, director of Artez Interiors, to help further develop the flourishing business.

Mike Banton, managing director at Artez, said: “The construction industry is booming again and our turnover is set to increase by up to 40 per cent this year, with new contracts coming through regularly, so the latest recruits are a vital part of our ever-growing team to keep the sites running smoothly and the behind the scenes process well oiled.

“We’ve secured a mixture of new-build and refurbishment projects in the Manchester area in the last few months — including a substantial amount of refurbishment work at The Market Place Shopping Centre in Bolton. Most contracts range in value from £200,000 up to £5 million. Attracting expert site managers and quantity surveyors to help deliver these projects to the high standards we expect is crucial.”

The construction specialist reports a significant increase in developments, specifically in the residential arena, where it has seen a 75 per cent increase year-on-year.

Artez, which has a client based across the UK, is currently recruiting for an additional two site manager positions and two quantity surveyors following a surge in contracts.

Artez was founded by Mr Banton in 2010, who formerly worked as a director at Urban Splash.
