THREE men have been charged with public order offences after an incident where Farnworth dad Mark Carroll died.

Shortly before 2am on Saturday November 21, police were called to reports of a disturbance on Burnham Walk in Farnworth.

Officers attended and found Mr Carroll, aged 43, who was barely conscious — he was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital where he later died.

A Home Office post-mortem examination took place and determined that he had severe heart disease which contributed to his death.

Police have now charged Reece Longworth, aged 18, of Cobden Street Farnworth, John Greenwood, aged 29, of St Peters Terrace, Farnworth and Bryn Wood, aged 20, of Central Avenue, Farnworth with public order offences.

All three men have been bailed to appear at Bolton Magistrates’ Court on May 10.

The inquest into his Mr Carroll’s death was opened on Wednesday at Bolton Coroner's Court and a further pre-inquest review was scheduled for July 4.
