A 27-YEAR-OLD man who left Bolton for Blackburn on being given an ASBO will return to the town after getting similar order there.

John Sokolowski left his hometown for East Lancashire after being hit with an anti-social behaviour order by a court.

But he has run into trouble in Blackburn and now plans to come back to the Greater Manchester borough, his lawyer says.

Sokolowski, of no fixed address, admitted five counts of theft and one of a breach of a post-prison sentence supervision requirement at Blackburn Magistrates' Court.

He was jailed for 14 days for the breach and sentenced to 18 weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months for the theft offences, and was made subject to a post-conviction ASBO.

The ASBO excludes Sokolowski from Clitheroe, Whalley and Blackburn shopping areas and states he must leave any retail outlet in Lancashire when asked to.

He is also banned from remaining on any railway station when asked to leave or remain on any train or replacement bus service when requested to leave.

James Towey, defending, said Sokolowski leads a chaotic life.

On occasions he stole to feed a drug habit but more recently he had stolen simply to eat.

"The ASBO in Bolton has now expired and he will ultimately return there," said Mr Towey.

The defendant had previously been sentenced for shoplifting £45 worth of bacon and separately stealing steaks and two bottles of Jack Daniels and trying to sell them in a pub.

He twice appeared in The Bolton News' 'most wanted' feature in 2014.
